Today marks the beginning of my 36th trip around the sun. So here is a list of 36 things I know for sure:
01. Time really does go by fast.
02. Smiles brighten everyone's day.
03. When you become a parent, you truly comprehend how much your own parents loved you.
04. Snow days are great when you are a student, but they are even better when you are a teacher!
05. My hair will never be as soft or look as good as when I walk out of the salon.
06. I love to make things.
07. Paper makes me happy.
08. Naps are good for the soul.
09. I am a perfectionist and slightly obsessive-compulsive; I can't change it.
10. I cannot imagine my life without DVR.
11. Having a sister means always having a friend.
12. Being the mother of boys means life is never dull nor quiet.
13. Giving birth to a child is one of, if not the most amazing experience in all the world.
14. Good mail days make me happy!
15. Chocolate chip cookies are part of a good diet.
16. Taking photographs is the closest I can come to freezing a moment in time.
17. To never say never is a really good rule to follow.
18. Live in the moment.
19. Just be you. Don't change for anyone else.
20. People will disappoint you, but remember the only one you can control is yourself.
21. Marry the person you cannot live without. I did!
22. Traveling with a 2-year old is not easy; remember this.
23. Eating dinner as a family is really important.
24. When your children talk to you, really listen; be present.
25. Surround yourself with people that bring out the best in you.
26. Never give up on your dreams and never stop dreaming.
27. All you can do is your best
28. Tell your spouse and your children that you love them each and every day!
29. Hawaii truly is paradise on earth.
30. Never doubt the power of prayer.
31. Live your life with passion. It makes things more interesting.
32. When you look at yourself, focus on the positive and accentuate it.
33. I will never like the snow. I like living where I live, but I don't like the snow and cold.
34. The perfect meal is spaghetti and meatballs.
35. My mom is the greatest woman I know. She is the best!
36. Life is a gift...cherish it, savor it, live it to the fullest. It only comes along once!
