toys.
When I chose this prompt, I had a vision in my head of Jackson playing with his cars (his toy of choice) or a close-up of some of the vintage toys I have acquired recently, but instead, I went with the joy Jack was having as he built a fort in the living room. This is a regular occurence in our house, much to my chagrin, but I let it slide, because I know how fun it is and I also know there will come a time when I will wish the boys would want to build a fort. Needless to say when a fort is built, every couch cushion and pillow is removed and the floor is covered with both the cushions and blankets. It was amongst these cushions and pillows that Jack stuck his head out and smiled with a joy that delights this mama's soul. Hope you can see him amongst those cushions!
And, I love that Kristi chose to photograph a toy of her own...a vintage camera. That camera is so cool and of course, Kristi's image is stunning as always.
Did you join us and photograph the toy(s) in your life? If so, please let us know in the comments. We look forward to visiting your blogs and seeing how you interpreted this prompt!
Ah, there is nothing more fun than playing in kids forts! Kids are so creative that way. Well done Melissa!
My take was a little more like Kristi's. I love the simple statements in both of these pictures.

Your photo reminds me of rainy days when my kids were little. We had forts with cushions and card-tables draped with blankets. So fun! (Sorry for posting a bit late, a couple of very busy weeks.)
