You know...the child that will sit still while you check out the settings on your camera, the lighting, etc. just to be sure that all is going to work before you get the 'monkey' (aka younger-can't-sit-still-to-save-his-life child)...(aka Luke) into position. Ahhh, this is him...my Sean...the cooperative child who put up with his momma taking countless photos of him this summer as she attempted to apply all that she was learning in her online photography class. I am so blessed to have him.
This is just a quick share of a home decor project I made for my friend Chrissy. She is such a fabulous person and generously did some shopping for me when the Creating Keepsakes convention visited her town. Being the kindhearted person she is, she refused to allow me to reimburse her monetarily...and instead asked for something to hang on her new walls. I have never done a home decor project before and was quite nervous. I knew I had to use a quote since I adore them and I went with flowers because flowers always make people happy. I had a hard time getting a decent photo (the colors are softer in real life), but here it is:
The quote reads: The earth laughs in flowers. by Ralph Waldo Emerson
Lastly, I am so thrilled that many of you are incorporating the Advent book countdown into your holiday traditions. Just so you know, if you wrap 25 (as I do), you will have one for Christmas day as well, but you could easily stop on the 24th with The Night Before Christmas.
So sweet of Sean :) Great photo (and sweater)!
Love the home decor....you can do anything crafty...you are so good!

Every mom DOES need one of those. Where can I find one? Simon's pretty good about sitting still, but he's into the fake smile, goofy face phase.
I love my wall hanging. It makes me smile every time I walk by. Thank you thank you for being my friend.
:)

What eye candy to go through your blog. Love all the stuff you've been doing lately.
And could your son show my kids the whole sit still for photos thing? I'll pay him. Really.
