Well, this is a day late, but here nonetheless. Polka dots...how fun is that to photograph? Of course in my head I could see all these adorable polka dot outfits that are available for girls today, but since I don't have a girl to dress, I decided to recreate a photo of Jack from when he was a baby lying on a polka dot blanket. You can see the archive image below the diptych.

And Kristi's image is sheer perfection. I love the vintage camera paired with the polka dot dress...to die for combination!

From the archives...

I was going through some old photos for a little home project I'm working on and I was delighted to find so many photos that are even more special to me now that the subject is older and on to a new phase. This one I fell in love with because of that sweet giggle (and crazy hair) on daddy's shoulder.

Here's to a lovely Thursday...hoping all your wishes come true!

2 photographers, 1 inspiration no. 40

It is hard to believe that this is our 40th diptych. Wow...time does fly when you are having fun. I chose the word whimsy. The word itself is fun to say. Kristi's photo of her son's pudgy legs just melts me; it is perfect! 

I chose to photograph Jack with a chalk drawn crown since he is my third prince. I saw a similar image on Pinterest and knew I wanted to recreate it.

Hazey Maisy

My sweet puppy was outside last night, so I went out to snap a quick pic. It was so hot and humid that my lens completely fogged up and this was the result.

I like it though...it reminds me of the grain of film. Sometimes happy surprises come when you least expect it!
