Oh yeah, what could be better?

{'tis the season...}

I love the holiday season, when yummy catalogs arrive in the mail each day and the magazine racks are filled with inspirational photos of Christmas decor.  And, every once in a while a company creates a brilliant (in my humble opinion) ad campaign that makes me stop, reflect and generally feel happy.

 

It's red cup day...

As I was getting ready this morning, I thought to myself, 'today is November 1st; I bet the red cups will be coming out soon at Starbucks' and lo and behold, one greeted me today!  Woohoo!

I love this time of year!

I was so thrilled when the UPS man pulled up today and delivered this to my front door:

I have seen some people mention it in blogland, but it is even more beautiful in real life. I am looking forward to looking at it tonight when the kids are in bed.  If you are an Orla Kiely fan, this is a must have in your collection.

 

Yes, I have a problem...

I am totally addicted to buying books.  

I love them.  

I love when the UPS man rings the bell and leaves me a package from Amazon.

I love snuggling up in bed with a new source of inspiration.

I love to see what other people are reading and purchasing for inspiration.

I am a bookaholic, but this is better than being an alcoholic, or a smoke-a-holic, right?

Yes, I have a problem, but I'm afraid I don't want to a damn thing about it.  

Nope.

I love books and that is just the way it is!

Happy Thanksgiving!

I haven't been around much as I am doing my best to get my photography business up and running, including a website, marketing materials, etc.  However, I didn't want today to slip by without acknowledging all that I have to be grateful for.  I am richly blessed and for that I am eternally grateful.  I hope you all have a blessed Thanksgiving and a day filled with love, joy and gratitude.

Favorite day...

Oh, this is always my most favorite day...when the red cups arrive at Starbucks.

Just makes me feel that the holiday season is upon us.

Just makes me feel thankful.

Just makes me feel happy.

I have been wanting to create a mosaic with some of my favorite autumn photos saved on flickr.  I am excited to print this one out and place in my home.  I hope you enjoy it too!

All I could do was smile when Sean brought this family portrait home today.  It is part of a little booklet he put together.  When I first looked, though, I had no hair and when I pointed this out to Sean, he told me he forgot.  Then he lauged and said, 'and your a lady too...you need hair.'  He quickly remedied the situation with crayons that were on the kitchen table.  I feel much better now!

     

For me, it doesn't get any better than this.  I love children's artwork.  I loved it when I was a teacher and now it is even more special when it is created by my own children.

Seven years...

Seven years ago today we said "I do."

I love him more today than I did then.

He is a kind and loving husband and the most amazing father.

We have been richly blessed with two healthy boys and another babe on the way.

It's been seven fabulous years and I'm looking forward to all the joy the future holds for us.
