One of my favorite days...

is when the red cups appear at Starbucks. Though November 1st seems a bit early to me, they do make me smile and that is all that counts! This cup was from yesterday; off to get today's. Have a good one.

 

Yes, I have a problem...

I am totally addicted to buying books.  

I love them.  

I love when the UPS man rings the bell and leaves me a package from Amazon.

I love snuggling up in bed with a new source of inspiration.

I love to see what other people are reading and purchasing for inspiration.

I am a bookaholic, but this is better than being an alcoholic, or a smoke-a-holic, right?

Yes, I have a problem, but I'm afraid I don't want to a damn thing about it.  

Nope.

I love books and that is just the way it is!

Favorite day...

Oh, this is always my most favorite day...when the red cups arrive at Starbucks.

Just makes me smile.

Just makes me feel that the holiday season is upon us.

Just makes me feel thankful.

Just makes me feel happy.

Just makes me feel good.
 

Fabulously cool...

I came across the Uppercase magazine several months ago amidst my blog/internet hopping and I was immediately intrigued.  However, I tried for a while to resist a subscription because you know, if you read this blog, that I have a serious addiction to magazine subscriptions.  But, I couldn't resist any longer and I am so glad that I subscribed to this magazine.  When I tell you that it is so cool and inspirational and filled with gorgeous photos and fantastic articles, you will just want to get it for yourself.  Don't believe me?  Check out some of my favorite images from issue 2.

And that is only a glimpse at all the goodness inside.  My third issue just arrived this week and it looks incredible.  Can't wait to have some time to relax with a good cup of Starbucks and be inspired by Uppercase.  Their blog is fabulous too.  I especially love Tuesdays when they devote space to "Type Tuesday". 

It is very refreshing to have a fun, hip and totally inspiring magazine available to us when it seems that every few weeks another magazine is folding.  I think seven of the magazines I subscribe to have ceased publication.  That makes me sad because while I love the internet, there is no substitute for magazines/books that we can hold in our hands and read at our leisure, set on our nightstands and pick up at a later time. 

{Things I Love...} edition no.1

This blog is being very neglected and I apologize for that.  It seems that summer and life in general has gotten the best of my time.  I am trying to get my photography business off the ground, open an etsy shop and hold down the fort here at home, so I have been putting this blog on the back burner.  Thanks to all of you who are continuing to visit.  I hope to update more regularly.

I would like to make this {Things I Love...} a regular feature here on my blog.  I won't say it will be weekly, but as I gather things together that are new (or old) to me, I will share them with you.  I like to surround myself with things that inspire me, so I hope that by sharing them with you, you will be inspired to.

 

1. {fresh flowers}: I find that having fresh flowers in my home makes it a brighter, happier place. I also love to take photos of them.  I splurge on fresh flowers at least once a week, sometimes more (just don't tell my husband! ;)

2. {quote books}: Anyone who reads my blog knows that I am addicted to quotes, so I am always on the lookout for a new book to add to my collection.  These are definitely my favorites.

3. {good mail}: I adore good mail days and whenever I spot an Anthropologie catalog in my mailbox, I get excited.  It is pure eye candy!

4. {Prima flowers}: I spotted these gorgoeus paper flowers at my local stamp store today and just had to grab them.  They are so pretty.

5. {this vintage quilt}: I purchased this at an estate sale last week and I love it.  I am on the hunt now for vintage quilts.

6. {vintage cameras}: I love finding vintage cameras on etsy or at estate sales.  This fabulous Polaroid was actually in my step father's basement.  Woohoo!

7. {this eraser}: It just makes me happy.

8. {vintage books}: I love vintage books...so much beauty.
